Aptilo Wins Carrier Wi-Fi Contract for South American Operator
The operator has deployed the Aptilo Service Management Platform™ (SMP), a state-of-the-art system to deliver and manage carrier-class Wi-Fi services.
The operator is using the Wi-Fi enabled by Aptilo SMP to build business, targeting not only wireless customers to offload traffic in crowded areas and extend indoor coverage, but also enterprise customers such as universities, retail chain customers and public hotspots for government agencies.
“South American carriers are pushing for Wi-Fi deployments. Mobile devices are embedded in the way of life for users in Guyana and throughout the region in general. This has made Wi-Fi a clear priority for our customers, who saw the tremendous success we achieved for customers enabling Wi-Fi for the FIFA World Cup in 2014 and the Olympic Games in 2016,” said José Farias, Sales Director Latin America, Aptilo Networks.
