Enea Netbricks Protocols Selected by Tier 1 Telecom Equipment Manufacturer
Enea®, (Nordic Exchange/Small Cap/ENEA), a global software and services company focused on solutions for communication-driven products, today announced that a tier 1 telecommunications equipment manufacturer (TEM) has selected Enea's SS7-BRICKS protocol stack for its new media gateway project. SS7-BRICKS is part of the Enea Netbricks Line of Protocols, a family of modular, easily integrated communications components targeting the entire communications value chain from legacy signaling to the latest IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) applications.
"Enea is pleased to again be selected as a trusted supplier to the largest and most important suppliers in the telecommunications industry," said Mathias Båth, senior vice president of Marketing at Enea. "Architectural flexibility and ease of integration were critical factors in this design win and Enea Netbricks once again exceeded the customer's expectations."
SS7-BRICKS is a portable software package implementing the network service part of Signaling System 7 for narrow and broadband networks, as well as next generation IP-based networks. All Enea Netbricks protocols are written in ANSI C and take advantage of a modular, portable architecture that allows hardware platform and compiler independence. Enea Netbricks protocols are provided in source code to over 400 TEMs, and device OEMs worldwide, assisting them in getting products to market quickly, with very low risk and significantly reduced development costs.
