STOCKHOLM, Sweden. – January 31, 2011 – Enea (NASDAQ OMX Nordic:ENEA) and AppliedMicro (NASDAQ:AMCC) today announced that they have formalized and expanded their longstanding alliance, now focusing on delivering advanced multicore hardware and software solutions to the communications market. The two companies are long-time collaborators in a number of technical areas and have supported mutual customers on a number of previous generation platforms. Key aspects of the relationship include product integration, joint go to market activities and exploring roadmap alignment on their respective multicore product families.
Initially, the companies will focus on delivering a highly optimized integration of Enea’s OSE® Multicore Edition (www.enea.com/ose) realtime operating system and AppliedMicro’s Mamba single and dual core processors on AppliedMicro’s APM86290 reference development platforms.
