Openwave Mobility Wins at CTIA MobITs Awards

MOTIFY recognized as one of the most innovative Customer Experience Management solutions in our industry

REDWOOD CITY, Calif., September 12, 2014 — Openwave Mobility, a software innovator enabling operators to manage and monetize mobile data, announced today that the CTIA has named its unique operator app, MOTIFY, a winner at the MobITs Awards for Customer Experience Management.

The MobITs Awards represent the most innovative IT solutions that help companies improve their customers’ experience by enhancing performance, efficiency and productivity. And more than 50 industry experts examined and scored nearly 300 entries across CTIA’s awards to determine the finalists and winners.

Openwave Mobility’s MOTIFY was included in the top three solutions for Customer Experience Management at this year’s MobITs. MOTIFY is a cloud-based context-aware mobile notification solution that enables operators to provide valuable real-time information to subscribers when it matters, where it matters. For example subscribers are notified via the app that they are about to incur an addition charges from exceeding data allowances or when roaming.

This unique solution also enables operators to offer targeted promotions to users, in a context-aware manner. MOTIFY is more engaging that more traditional means like SMS or email, and can easily be incorporated into existing self-care apps or loyalty schemes.

“At Openwave Mobility we recognize the importance of avoiding bill-shock for subscribers, while still offering new monetization opportunities to operators. So, it is an honor to be named a winner at this year’s MobITs awards,” said John Giere, CEO at Openwave Mobility. “It has only been a few months since we launched MOTIFY and already it has gained substantial industry recognition. I would like to take this opportunity to thank our dedicated team whose tireless efforts have made this innovation possible.”
