North American Carrier Selects Aptilo for Wi-Fi Offloading in the Caribbean
STOCKHOLM – A North American service provider has selected Aptilo Networks to enable carrier Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi offloading for its many telecommunications networks in the Caribbean.
The Aptilo Service Management Platform™ (SMP) enables carrier-grade Wi-Fi, and offloads mobile data traffic from users to the Wi-Fi network. This decreases network congestion across each of the Caribbean islands served to create a superior user experience. Wi-Fi Offload is seamless and “invisible” to the user. Logins are a breeze thanks to Aptilo SMP’s SIM Authentication.
Additionally, Aptilo SMP works hand-in-hand with billing systems to check user account balances and enable provisioning of services.
The Wi-Fi is also serving a “fourth network” for the service provider as a way to expand their Wi-Fi footprint quickly.
