Aptilo Finalist for Two Cablefax Awards

STOCKHOLM – April 18, 2019 – Aptilo Networks has been named a finalist for two of the CFX Tech Awards (Cablefax). Aptilo Zero-touch Wi-Fi IoT Connectivity™, has been shortlisted in the IoT Product or Service category. Aptilo SMP™ Consent & Personal Data Management solution, has been shortlisted in the Wireless/WiFi Solution category.

Aptilo Zero-touch Wi-Fi IoT Connectivity™

Aptilo Zero-touch Wi-Fi IoT Connectivity addresses an area which has prevented innovations using Wi-Fi for connectivity of IoT devices from taking off. Typically, onboarding of Wi-Fi IoT devices is difficult. Existing Wi-Fi connectivity solutions all require some kind of manual action when the device is switched on for the first time.

Aptilo’s solution facilitates automatic and secure onboarding of IoT devices to Wi-Fi networks by utilizing certificates already existing in the device and standard Hotspot 2.0 functionality. This will create a mass-market availability of Wi-Fi based IoT devices.

Aptilo SMP™ Consent & Personal Data Management solution

The Aptilo SMP consent & personal data management solution with its privacy-protected marketing features is fully compliant with the European General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Businesses can engage users while protecting their privacy with functions for handling personal data and smart consent pop-ups. Only the relevant consents with terms for the access method used are dynamically shown. By separating consents from portal designs, administrators can manage user consents over time and update texts without disruptive changes to the portal.

While GDPR is implemented in Europe, the need for Wi-Fi solutions that meet strict privacy and personal data management requirements is fast becoming global.
