5G-SE VMware Ready Telco Cloud
Certifying on VMware Ready for Telco Cloud Platform is an important milestone for Enea team. Committed to telco grade performance and scaling hyperscale environments like VMware provides the additional assurance of continued interoperability. The Dual mode 4G-5G data handling component of Enea’s traffic management architecture is already telco grade and it is now ‘Ready’ for VMware Telco Cloud Platform, through an independent certification program with the VMware labs.
The 5G-Service engine has to handle a nigh volume of data traffic with low latency – enabling telco services to scale out a common solution for users on different radio access paths and architecture , (4G, 5G NR, 5G SA) enabling network service capacity, improving subscribers’ QoE through faster download speeds, monetizing data traffic through different service plans and integrated policy and IP traffic analysis to prevent fraud and comply with regulatory requirements. As such it is an ideal component to deliver a network service evolution for telcos – building it on VMware provides a real test of whether a cloud native (CNF) architecture can scale and perform.
As noted by Sidd Chenumolu, Head of Product Management, Software-Defined Edge Division, Broadcom, “5G Service Engine is an essential element of transformation for mobile telecom enabling the delivery services to manage and improve subscriber experience across both 4G and 5G access paths.“
Enea’s commitment to open architecture remains at the forefront of enabling telco transformation. Delivering choice by integrating into the management, performance and Dev Ops structures of hyperscalers is a core part of our business. Compatibility with VMware, Red Hat OpenShift and hybrid environments delivers function, performance and manageability for both 4G, 5G and dual mode environments.
