Enea signs Multicore and Hypervisor deal worth 2 MEUR

STOCKHOLM, Sweden, 12 July, 2010 – Enea (NASDAQ OMX Nordic:ENEA) today announced that it has received an order from a leading telecom supplier to a value of 2 MEUR (20 MSEK) over the next three years. The customer has selected Enea to migrate the customer's existing telecom applications platform to a multicore based platform. The migration will be enabled through Enea Hypervisor, built on Enea's leading real time operating system, Enea OSE Multicore Edition. The work will be carried out throughout 2010 up until final delivery in the beginning of 2011.

"This contract shows the strength of Enea's multicore and Hypervisor technology that together will form the backbone of our customer's new telecom applications platform. The deal underlines Enea's ability to deliver entire projects that contain both groundbreaking technology through our product offering as well as a strong services capability to deliver a total migration project for a critical telecom system," said Per Åkerberg, President and CEO at Enea. "Our unique Multicore solution, coupled with new Hypervisor technology has again showed that it is providing great value to our customers."

Multicore means that the hardware chip has more than one core, requiring new versions of the operating system that can handle multiple cores. The hypervisor technology allows operating systems to co-exist on the same multicore chip taking out the complexity of configuration and software management – while speeding product development and lowering costs.
