Enea Signs Traffic Classification Contract worth USD 3.1 Million

Enea has signed an agreement for embedded traffic classification software at a total value of USD 3.1 million over four years with a global, US-based cloud computing and virtualization technology vendor. The agreement will generate recurring revenues in product group Network Solutions during the full contract period.

The agreement covers new business with an existing customer of Enea’s Qosmos ixEngine product, an advanced traffic classification software that recognizes over 3500 protocols, more than any other on the market. The cloud computing vendor will embed Qosmos ixEngine both in its firewall offering and its SD-WAN solution, to provide real-time traffic intelligence used for cybersecurity, WAN optimization, and quality of service.

“SD-WAN and cloud security services depend on accurate classification of network traffic to be effective”, says Jan Häglund, President and CEO of Enea. “This new contract shows how customers can use our products for new use cases and confirms our position as the industry’s leading supplier of embedded traffic intelligence software.”
