Enea signs contract for 5G traffic management worth CAD 4.4 million
Enea has signed a contract for 5G traffic management with a North American mobile network operator. The solution is based on Enea’s new 5G Service Engine (5G-SE), which was launched to the market in July. This product will together with associated traffic management features improve subscribers’ quality of experience, accelerate traffic delivery, and alleviate radio network congestion. The agreement, which covers new business with an existing customer, includes software licenses, professional services, and product support. Software licenses corresponding to a value of CAD 3.3 million are recognized in the third quarter of 2022, while remaining parts of the agreement are delivered during the next three years. The total contract value is CAD 4.4 million.
“The new contract is a first major win for our recently launched 5G Service Engine, which reconfirms our leading position in mobile traffic management. This is also an important milestone as another major 5G contract and shows the potential of our 5G investments,” says Jan Häglund, President and CEO of Enea.
Enea’s 4G, 5G applications, and Wi-Fi service management products serve hundreds of millions of subscribers across the world. The software is cloud native and is commercially deployed on multiple platforms, including public cloud providers.
