Enea Teams with Kontron, SURF, and Tail-f Systems to Offer Application Acceleration Seminars

Half-day seminars will explore emerging technology and system integration for COTS telecom equipment

San Jose, CA – April 23, 2008 – Enea® (Nordic Exchange/Small Cap/ENEA), a world leading provider of network software and services, today announced that it has joined with Kontron, Surf Communications, and Tail-f Systems to offer a series of seminars focussing on new technology and system integration for next-generation, always-on COTS network equipment. The half-day seminars will examine key open platform technologies such as ATCA, middleware, multicore, and media processing, with an emphasis on how to get the pieces to work together, reduce integration risk, and accelerate application development.

"COTS hardware and software building blocks have achieved the maturity needed to be legitimate design alternatives for developers of next-generation, always-on, IP-based communications systems," said Terry Pearson, vice president of marketing at Enea. "With the help of our partners, we will examine the latest ATCA, middleware, multi-core, media processing, and protocol technologies. We will also show attendees how to accelerate the integration process and focus precious engineering resources on what they do best, developing applications."

Application Acceleration seminars will begin with an 8:30 breakfast and feature presentations by Enea, Kontron, Tail-f Systems and Surf Communications. The seminars will also feature demos, hands-on training, an exciting panel session on managing integration risk plus Q & A. The seminar will conclude with lunch, which will provide plenty of time for follow up and networking.

The first Application Acceleration seminar will be held on April 29 in Boston at the Burlington Marriott. Additional seminars are scheduled for May 1 in the Dallas area (Marriott Quarum in Addison), May 8 in Kista, Sweden, May 27 in Tel Aviv, Israel, and June 25 in Munich, Germany. (* Please note Surf Communications will not present at the Kista event.)  More information on the seminar series including event registration can be found at www.enea.com/aaseminar.
