Aptilo Enables World’s Best Hotel Wi-Fi and Europe’s Fastest Airport Wi-Fi According to Two Independent Studies

STOCKHOLM – Wi-Fi services, enabled by Aptilo Networks through operators at Nordic Choice Hotels and Dublin Airport, have ranked tops for quality and speed by two independent organizations.

Hotel WiFi Test ranked Nordic Choice the number one chain in its global rankings of Wi-Fi service quality. Hotel WiFi Test evaluated more than 4,000 hotels across the 50 largest hotel chains worldwide, ranking Wi-Fi service based on network quality and to what extent the hotels offered free Wi-Fi in the hotel rooms. Nordic Choice is the parent owner of hotel chains Comfort, Quality and Clarion, with 179 hotels throughout Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Latvia and Lithuania.

Rotten WiFi named Dublin Airport’s the fastest airport Wi-Fi in Europe. Rotten WiFi’s users tested and evaluated the quality of Wi-Fi in more than 130 airports in 53 countries.

Deployed with operators TeliaSonera for Nordic Choice and eircom for Dublin Airport, Aptilo’s service management solution enables carrier-class Wi-Fi and Wi-Fi offloading, creating an exceptional user experience. The operators’ subscribers enjoy quick access to Wi-Fi through a seamless and secure login through the SIM card in mobile devices. Other users gain access through user-friendly portals. The Wi-Fi networks are purpose-built to manage high-volume traffic and the bandwidth is optimized through Aptilo’s Wi-Fi policy control.

“We are proud that Wi-Fi services enabled by Aptilo have been recognized by these two independent organizations,” said Paul Mikkelsen, CEO, Aptilo Networks. “Carrier Wi-Fi is a game-changer for mobile operators, airports, enterprises and venues. Users expect great Wi-Fi. Aptilo delivers.”
