San Jose, CA June 1, 2006 – Enea (Stockholm: ENEA.ST), the world leader in advanced device software, today announced that it has once again been named to the SD Times 100, which recognizes companies and organizations that have "set the agenda" for software development managers, developers, and the industry through leadership and innovation during the past year.
This year, Enea won in the “Embedded & Mobile” category, and was recognized for the work that CEO Johan Wall has done to promote interoperability, standardization and cooperation among the industry’s leading embedded developers and designers. SD Times also recognized Enea and its market leading fault-tolerant embedded database, Polyhedra.

Polyhedra is an embedded, fault-tolerant, SQL relational database management system (RDBMS). Featuring a small code footprint, Polyhedra uses a memory-resident design that boosts performance by up to an order of magnitude relative to conventional RDBMSs. Polyhedra also provides journaling and fault-tolerant mechanisms such as failover control and fast reconnection that ensure data persistence and enhance system availability.
Polyhedra is also available in a ROMable flash version known as Polyhedra FlashLite, which supports both high-speed NOR and low-cost NAND flash, and can utilize disk or flash memory for data storage. Occupying less than one Mbyte of RAM for both code and working space, Polyhedra FlashLite utilizes a cache-based design that boosts performance by up to an order of magnitude relative to conventional disk- and flash-based RDBMSs.
