Enea Optima
Enea Optima is a suite of system debug and profiling tools for Linux and the Enea OSE and OSEck RTOS variants. Optima features a complete integrated development environment, including the Eclipse platform and Eclipse C/C++ development tools.
Enea Optima includes overview and management tools for complex distributed systems, and profiling tools showing resource usage. It also contains debug tools allowing the user to track execution of application and operating system events.
Optima has many advantages:
- Allows usage when the product is in service as well as during development and test, thanks to its multiple modes of operation
- Enables infrastructure re-use to capture and present application specific information, thanks its open interfaces
- Provides complete C/C++ IDE and source code debug support based on open source standards, including Eclipse and GDB
- Operates both in run mode and post-mortem mode. Unlike traditional freeze-mode solutions, Optima can be used during development, as well as when the product is in service.
The Optima System Browser
The System Browser allows for navigating and finding OS information in large, distributed applications. It is also aids in finding problems like deadlocks and resource leaks.
Together with the Optima Pool Browser it presents everything from charts of overall memory pool usage to details about individual allocated buffers.
The Optima Event Viewer
The Event Viewer allows for debugging applications at the system event level, and provides full access to the event action mechanisms of OSE.
The Optima System Profiler
The System Profiler allows for monitoring the CPU load on a per-process or per-process-priority basis. It provides full access to the profiling mechanisms of OSE.
